How to Make Baklava Dough
This easy, tried-and-true baklava dough is suitable for most desserts that call for thin, layered pastry. You can use it to make kulaj, Zenoud el-Sit, or even shaibiyat.

- 500 grams flour
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- a pinch of salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup warm milk, or more as needed
Method
- Mix all the ingredients well, and bring the dough together with the warm milk without kneading it too much. You can add more milk as needed until you get a soft dough.
- Let the dough rest for at least 1 hour. Shape it into balls, then prepare 1 cup cornstarch and 1/2 cup flour on the side to roll the dough very thin.Timers: 60 min
