Kofta with tahini is one of the tastiest ways to prepare kofta... Tahini is truly delicious when added to eggplant and cauliflower... and with meat too!!!
Ingredients
- 1 kilo finely ground lamb (with fat)
- 1 bunch parsley
- 1 onion
- 1 teaspoon tomato paste
- Black pepper
- Mixed spice
- Salt
- Ghee or oil
- Fried potatoes

- Tahini
- Water
- Lemon juice

Method
- Grind the parsley and onion in an electric grinder, then add them to the finely ground meat. Add the salt, spices, and tomato paste, and knead well until you have a smooth, well combined kofta mixture.
- Shape the kofta mixture into medium round patties and fry them in a little ghee or oil until they just change color.
- Add fried potato slices on top in the baking dish.
- Prepare the tahini sauce... Whisk the ingredients together and add plenty of water to get a very thin sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the kofta and potatoes in the dish until just covered... then place the dish on the stove and let the broth come to a boil over high heat.
- Once the broth boils, transfer it directly to the oven and bake over medium heat until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Garnish the kofta with tahini with chopped parsley and serve immediately with fluffy rice.
