Creme Caramel Made Easy
Crème caramel is easy yet precise; follow the method to achieve a fragrant, successful dessert.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 5 eggs
- 5 cups water
- 2½ cups powdered milk
- 1½ cups sugar
- lemon zest
- 3 drops white vinegar
- a little liquid vanilla
- You can check the crème caramel with a toothpick to make sure it's done, then set it aside to cool well... then refrigerate it for at least 3 hours, after which invert the crème caramel mold onto the serving plate
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Melt 1 1/2 cups of sugar on the stove to make caramel; pour into the mold and set aside to cool.
- Blend all ingredients well, then pour over the caramel.
- Place the mold in a baking dish, fill the dish halfway with hot water, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 1 hour.Timers: 60 min
- Check for doneness with a toothpick, then cool completely before refrigerating for at least 3 hours and finally unmold onto a serving plate.Timers: 180 min
