Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg thinly sliced beef with a little fat
  • 1/4 cup red vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 medium tablespoon beef shawarma spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of:
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Paprika
  • Black pepper
  • Cardamom
  • Salt to taste
  • All spices optional
  • Note:
  • You can add slices of onion and tomato to the meat while frying, according to preference.

Method

  1. Place the meat slices in the marinade made of all the spices and other ingredients; leave it in the fridge for two hours. Add a little oil and cook over low heat until done.
  2. Serve the beef shawarma with chopped parsley and sliced onions with a sprinkle of sumac, and with tarator or tahini sauce.
  3. Tarator or tahini sauce:
  4. 1/4 cup tahini
  5. Lemon juice
  6. Salt
  7. 1 clove crushed garlic
  8. . Chopped parsley (optional).
  9. Mix all the ingredients, adding a little cold water until you reach the desired consistency and thickness.
