Lentil Soup with Swiss Chard and Lemon

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown lentils
  • 1 1/2 liters water
  • 1 cup fresh coriander, chopped
  • Swiss chard, chopped into large pieces
  • 10 cloves garlic, coarsely crushed
  • 3 medium potatoes, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup oil
  • 3 potatoes
  • lemon juice
  • salt
  • 1/2 cup rice, rinsed

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Pick over the lentils and wash them... then trim the Swiss chard and pull out the strings from the stems. Cut the potatoes into cubes.
  2. Add the Swiss chard, potatoes, and lentils to boiling water with lemon juice and salt, and boil for about 20 minutes. Add the rinsed rice and boil for 10 minutes.
    Timers: 20 min, 10 min
  3. In a pan, heat the oil and sauté the garlic until lightly browned over medium heat, then add the coriander and stir with the garlic for a moment.
  4. Pour the oil mixture with coriander and garlic over the soup. Leave it until the potatoes are cooked through.
