Ingredients

  • 1 chicken breast piece
  • 1 large onion (dry)
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 cups frozen corn
  • 6 tbsp rolled oats
  • Black pepper
  • Salt

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Wash and boil the chicken well, seasoning the water with lemon and salt. You can use boneless chicken or chicken on the bone.
  2. Add aromatics while boiling the chicken — cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, cloves, bay leaves, and nutmeg.
  3. When the chicken is cooked, strain it from the stock and reserve the stock for the soup.
  4. In a deep pot over the stove, heat a little vegetable oil and sauté the finely chopped onion.
  5. Add the crushed garlic and cook the onion and garlic until soft.
  6. Add the corn (rinsed) and sauté for several minutes with the onion and garlic.
  7. Add the shredded chicken (cut into small pieces) and stir with the other ingredients.
  8. Pour the reserved chicken stock over the mixture, then add the oats.
  9. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  10. Simmer the corn-and-oat soup for about 10 minutes, or until the oats are cooked and the soup thickens.
