How to Make Tomato Juice
Tomato juice is a staple in every home kitchen. Do you buy it ready-made, or make it yourself? In this recipe, we used Omani tomatoes, but you can use mountain tomatoes, for example, or any type of tomato you find suitable.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 30 kilos Omani tomatoes
- 1 cup coarse salt
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Wash the tomatoes and dry them.
- Grind them in an electric blender.
- Put them with the coarse salt over high heat until foam appears on the surface. Then lower the heat and let them simmer over low heat for half an hour.
- Pour the tomato juice into tightly sealed glass bottles or jars and close them immediately while still hot.
- Store the tomato juice in a dry place away from sunlight. After opening, keep the jar or bottle in the refrigerator.
