Beef Shawarma — an easy, delicious homemade recipe
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 500 g meat with strips of fat (tender meat suitable for shawarma)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp ready-made shawarma spice mix
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp plain yogurt

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Slice the meat into thin or wider strips according to your preference.
- Mix the meat with the remaining ingredients and let it marinate for at least 1 hour.Timers: 60 min
- After marinating, cook the beef shawarma in a skillet or pot over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked.
- Serve with an onion-and-parsley salad seasoned with sumac to taste, plus tomatoes, tarator (garlic-yogurt sauce), and pickles.
