Easy Lebanese Nights Dessert
Layali Lubnan is one of the most delicious and easiest desserts. It’s especially perfect in hot weather because it is served cold from the fridge and has a very light, jelly-like texture. Here is the easiest way to make it.
Ingredients

- 3 cups powdered milk
- 7 cups water
- 1 1/4 cups fine semolina, or farina
- Ashta cream for the second layer
- Pistachios for garnish
- Syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- A few drops of rose water and orange blossom water

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Mix the milk, water, and fine semolina cold, then put them in a pot over heat, stirring until they boil and thicken.
- Pour into a Pyrex dish and let them cool to room temperature, then spread a can of qimeer (clotted cream) over the top.
- Garnish with crushed or ground pistachios and place the Pyrex in the fridge for at least two to three hours or until the dessert is well chilled.
- Serve Layali Lubnan with the syrup.
- Put the sugar and water on the heat, stirring until it boils... remove any foam that appears on the surface.
- Then add rose water and orange blossom water and let them boil for an additional 5 minutes.Timers: 5 min
- Finally add a squeeze of lemon and let them boil only a little, about one minute, then turn off the heat.
- Serve the syrup cold with the dessert.
