- Cookies
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cups ghee (samna)
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 4 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- Flour
- Chocolate sauce
- 1 cup ghee (samna)
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 8 tablespoons cocoa powder
- Grated coconut for garnish
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Start with phase one — preparing the cookie balls: melt the ghee, taking care not to overheat it. In a bowl, combine the melted ghee with the oil, cornstarch, powdered sugar, egg, a dash of vanilla and baking powder and mix. Add the flour in batches and knead until you have a cohesive dough.
- Shape into small balls, place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, and bake them.
- Phase two: put 1 cup ghee in a pot with the milk, sugar, vanilla and cocoa and mix. After it reaches a boil, keep the chocolate sauce on low heat until it thickens, then remove from the heat.
- Dip the cookies in the chocolate sauce, then roll them in coconut.
- Put the snowball cookies in the fridge for about ten minutes until the sauce sets and then serve.
