Homemade Broasted Chicken

A well-made, delicious homemade broasted chicken. Try this recipe—you won't regret it. Serve with fries or mashed potatoes, ketchup and coleslaw.

Broasted chicken made at home — a successful and delicious recipe

Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs, bone-in or boneless
  • Marinade
  • Plain yogurt
  • Paprika
  • Cinnamon
  • Ginger
  • Chicken seasoning
  • Salt
  • A little vinegar and oil to bring the mixture to a medium, loose consistency
  • Coating
  • Flour
  • Cornstarch
  • 1 medium spoon baking powder (≈1 tbsp)

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Mix the marinade ingredients so that the amount of vinegar and oil makes the mixture medium in consistency.
  2. Marinate the chicken thighs in the mixture and leave them for at least an hour to absorb the flavors... do not leave the thighs too long or they will dry out and the flour coating will not stick.
  3. Dip the chicken pieces into the flour mixture to coat them and fry them immediately in plenty of hot oil so the flour does not absorb moisture.
  4. Fry them in oil over low heat until they are cooked through and the outer coating is browned.
  5. Serve the broasted chicken with mashed potatoes or fries.
