Colored pasta with Thousand Island dressing... a dish of boiled pasta with crab meat or shrimp and a wonderful dressing.

Ingredients

  • Half a packet of colored pasta
  • Quarter kilo crab or shrimp
  • Half a red sweet bell pepper
  • 2 stalks of green onion
  • Chopped parsley for garnish
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Thousand Island dressing:
  • Half a cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons hot chili powder
  • Finely chopped pickles or pickled vegetables
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar

Method

  1. Boil the pasta in the usual way or as directed on the package, then let it drain
  2. Mix all the dressing ingredients in a bowl until well combined
  3. Place the cooked pasta in a bowl, and distribute the crab or shrimp over it
  4. Cut the red pepper into small cubes or squares and chop the green onion, then add them on top
  5. Add the dressing and mix
  6. Finally sprinkle salt and pepper to taste and mix
  7. Transfer the colored pasta with Thousand Island dressing to a serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley
