Sushi
An extremely easy homemade sushi recipe! Sushi is one of the Japanese dishes that has become increasingly popular in Arab countries, which is a positive thing because it is a healthy dish that contains a high percentage of very beneficial omega-3 fats.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 cup white rice suitable for sushi
- 1 tablespoon Japanese sushi rice vinegar
- 1 pack nori seaweed sheets
- Cucumber
- Avocado
- Crab sticks
- We also need a special sushi rolling mat
- Note
- In this recipe, we prepared sushi without using any type of raw fish, although there are different recipes and fillings. This recipe is suitable for adults, children, and even pregnant women because it does not contain ingredients that spoil quickly and could expose the person eating it to food poisoning.
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Wash the rice well, then boil it in plenty of water and let it cook until the water evaporates and the rice is fully cooked.
- Leave the pot covered for about 15 minutes, then transfer the rice to a flat dish and add the rice vinegar. Let it cool well.Timers: 15 min
- Start preparing the vegetables by cutting the cucumber, avocado, and crab sticks into thin slices or sticks. Then spread out the sushi rolling mat and place one nori sheet on top of it. Add about three tablespoons of rice.. Spread the rice well over the entire nori sheet, and wet your hands with water so the rice does not stick to them, then arrange the vegetable pieces you want to use. On one side of the nori, place a horizontal line of cucumber, avocado, and crab.
- Roll the nori sheet using the rolling mat with the vegetables inside, pressing well to make sure the rice does not spill out of the nori roll.
- After finishing the roll, set the mat aside. Cut the nori roll into evenly sized round pieces. Usually, one nori roll gives us five to six pieces of sushi, but you can control the number of sushi pieces depending on the size of the piece you cut.
