Spicy sausage with fried potatoes... Why buy ready-made sausage when you can make it this easily?!
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 2 medium onions
- 1 kg tomatoes (or more, to taste)
- A little vegetable oil
- A pinch of salt
- Sausage meat seasoning
- 500 g finely ground lean minced meat
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp hot red chili powder (or more, to taste)
- A pinch of salt, to taste
- Note
- Using a larger quantity of tomatoes will dilute the heat, so the amount of tomato depends on personal preference.
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Mix the minced meat with the rest of the sausage seasoning ingredients.
- Chop the tomatoes into small pieces and chop the onion.
- In a skillet, add the chopped onion with the oil over the heat and stir until softened.
- Add the spicy sausage mixture and cook, stirring, until it’s cooked through. Then add the chopped tomatoes and a pinch of salt and stir.
- Cover the skillet or pot and leave over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until all ingredients are fully cooked.
- Serve the spicy sausage hot alongside fried potatoes.
