Arabic Ice Cream with Cream (Ashta)

Ingredients

  • 4 cups powdered milk
  • 2 cans cream (Qaimar or Ashta)
  • Half a cup sugar
  • One teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons ground mastic
  • One teaspoon salep
  • 4 cups very cold water
  • 4 sachets liquid whipping cream
  • Pistachios for garnish

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Place all ingredients in an electric mixer and beat for 25 minutes.
    Timers: 25 min
  2. Place a plastic bag in the mold where you will put the ice cream mixture and spread chopped or crushed pistachios in it.
  3. Pour the ice cream mixture, then sprinkle pistachios on top as well.
  4. Place the mold in the freezer for at least 8 hours, then serve the Arabic Ice Cream with Cream (Ashta), garnished with pistachios.

  5. When we finish beating the ingredients, taste the mixture. If you find it needs more sugar, add according to taste and beat again until the sugar dissolves well.
