Cheesy Potato Patties
A successful, delicious homemade recipe for cheesy potato patties — everyone will love them. Potatoes and cheese pair perfectly, here with two types of cheese.

Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 500 g potatoes
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup grated mozzarella or cheddar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon seven-spice mix
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- A pinch cayenne powder
- 2 stalks green onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup flour
- Butter for frying the patties
- Cream cheese
- Grated mozzarella for topping
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Boil the potatoes well, then mash them.
- Add the egg, 2 tablespoons of butter and 1/2 cup grated mozzarella or cheddar; add the salt, spices and green onion, and mix well.
- Finally add the flour and mix again to obtain a cohesive potato dough.
- Place it in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes only.Timers: 10 min
- Roll the dough into several balls, then shape each ball into a potato patty.
- Make a small indentation in the center of each, then fry them lightly in butter on both sides.
- Remove them from the heat and place a spoonful of cream cheese into each indentation and a little grated cheese on top.
- Put them in a preheated oven (top heat) at 180°C until the cheese just melts.
- Serve the cheesy potato patties immediately while hot.
