Beef shawarma — an easy, homemade recipe

Shawarma beef, thinly sliced

1/4 cup vinegar

1 cup water

1 tsp ground black pepper

1 tsp seven-spice blend

1 tsp paprika

A pinch of hot pepper

1/4 cup oil

2 tomatoes

1 large onion, cut into wedges

Salt

Marinate the shawarma beef overnight in the vinegar, water, and spices.
The next day, drain the meat and place it in a skillet over medium heat, stirring until the liquids evaporate.
Add the oil, sliced or chopped tomatoes, onion wedges, and salt. Cover and cook until the meat is fully cooked and tender.
Serve the shawarma with tahini sauce or tartar (tarator) sauce.
