Beef shawarma is one of the tastiest Arabic recipes, served as a popular Arabic fast-food sandwich in pita bread... who loves it?

Ingredients:

1 kilo tender beef suitable for shawarma (it is best if it has been frozen a few days earlier, then thawed when ready to use, because freezing helps make the meat tender)

1 orange

1 dried onion

1 tomato

about 10 to 12 cardamom pods

about 10 to 12 cloves

10 tablespoons sunflower oil

1/2 cup vinegar

1 tablespoon beef shawarma spice mix (ready-made)

3 tablespoons yogurt

1 teaspoon salt

Preparation Method:

Cut the meat into strips or thin to medium slices.
Cut the orange into eighths, and the onion into quarters.
Add the spices and all the other ingredients, then mix everything together.
Cover the shawarma after seasoning it and refrigerate for at least 2 hours so the meat absorbs the marinade well.
Cover a beef shawarma tray with aluminum foil and place it in the middle of a preheated oven at 180-190°C, top and bottom heat, for about 1.5 to 2 hours. Turn the meat occasionally, making sure there is some liquid in the tray so the meat does not dry out.
A few minutes before removing the tray from the oven, lift the aluminum foil and leave it for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, then turn off the oven.
Serve the beef shawarma with parsley salad, onion and sumac, and tahini sauce.
