How to Make Lebanese Fattoush Salad

A clear homemade Lebanese fattoush salad recipe with the essential vegetables that make up fattoush. Some people also like to add grated carrot or pomegranate seeds!

Lebanese fattoush.. one of the tastiest salads of all, especially when the bread is fried.. and it can also be toasted

Ingredients

  • Parsley
  • Lettuce
  • Red cabbage
  • White cabbage
  • Tomatoes
  • Cucumber
  • Radish
  • Green onions
  • Sweet green pepper
  • Fresh mint
  • Purslane
  • Fresh thyme
  • Dressing
  • Lemon
  • Dried mint
  • Olive oil
  • Sumac
  • Pomegranate molasses
  • Fried bread for topping

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Wash the vegetables well, then drain them well
  2. Chop the leafy vegetables or tear them by hand. Slice the cabbage into thin strips, roughly chop the lettuce and green onions, and dice the tomatoes, cucumber, and pepper
  3. Mix the vegetables together
  4. Prepare the dressing separately by mixing all its ingredients, then pour it over the vegetables just before serving and toss the fattoush
  5. Cut the bread lengthwise or into cubes, or shape it as desired, then fry it in plenty of oil for just a few seconds until golden
  6. Top the fattoush with the fried bread and serve
