Shish tawook... a very tasty recipe! Especially delicious when served as sandwiches... tawook is one of the easiest ways to prepare boneless chicken.

Boneless chicken breast

Marinade:

1/2 cup plain yogurt

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon seven-spice (baharat)

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon white vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil

Garlic-starch sauce:

3 tablespoons cornstarch

1 cup water

2 large garlic cloves

1/2 cup oil

2 tablespoons vinegar

juice of half a lemon

1 teaspoon salt

Mix all the marinade ingredients and marinate the large chicken cubes in it.
Leave them in the fridge for at least 3 hours.
After that time, fry the tawook or grill it according to your preference.
To prepare the garlic sauce: dissolve the cornstarch in cold water and put it in a pot over the heat, stirring until it thickens.
Let it cool completely, then place it in a blender with the previously crushed garlic, oil, vinegar, lemon juice and salt and blend well until you get a creamy garlic sauce.
Serve the tawook as sandwiches in Arabic or regular bread with the garlic sauce, fried potatoes and pickled cucumbers.
