Ingredients:

1 whole chicken, cut into pieces

Potatoes

Carrots

Vegetable oil

Lemon juice

Vinegar

Seven-spice blend

Ground cinnamon

Black pepper

Garlic powder

Onion powder

Salt

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

A pinch of wild thyme / oregano

1 teaspoon debs al-hurr

Method:

Wash the chicken well and rub it with salt and lemon, then place it in a colander.

Prepare the marinade from all the spices listed in the ingredients. Add the chicken to the marinade and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

After the required time has passed, place the chicken in an oven-safe baking dish. Add the potato pieces and carrot pieces with the chicken, then place the tray in a preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
