Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup fine semolina, or farina
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup water, or as needed for the dough

Method

  1. Combine the flour, semolina, and vanilla and mix well .. then add the oil and begin kneading... after that add the water gradually while kneading until the dough comes together
  2. Start forming the dough into balls and shape them on a sieve in the desired shape or as shown in the photo
  3. Heat the oil and begin frying the desserts until golden
  4. Remove the fried semolina pieces from the oil and place them directly into cold syrup for two hours
  5. Then lift the pieces from the syrup and drain them
  6. Serve them after decorating with pistachios or as desired
