Ingredients:

1 cup coarse semolina

1/4 cup sugar, or more to taste

1 1/4 cups milk

1/4 cup butter

1 cup pistachios

1 tablespoon rose water

1 tablespoon orange blossom water

To serve:

Fresh ready-made cream

Nuts, as desired

Sugar syrup

Method:

Place the semolina and butter in a pot over the heat and stir until it turns a light golden color.

Add the sugar to the semolina, then gradually add the milk until the semolina absorbs the liquid well. Add the rose water and orange blossom water as well.

The mixture will turn into something like a dough. You can add more milk or water if the mixture remains too thick.

Add the pistachios to the dough and mix well. Remove the pot from the heat and let the madlouka cool.

Spread the madlouka in a serving dish. Distribute the fresh cream over it and garnish with nuts.

Serve the sugar syrup alongside the madlouka.
