Strawberry tart shell, homemade and oh-so-delicious!

Ingredients:

\r\n

2 cups and a half all-purpose flour

\r\n

200 g butter

\r\n

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

\r\n

A pinch of salt

\r\n

1/4 teaspoon vanilla

\r\n

1 egg

\r\n \r\n \r\n

Preparation:

\r\n

Combine the flour and all dry ingredients. Add the butter and mix with your fingertips until the mixture comes together.
Add the egg yolk and mix. Add a little water (about two tablespoons) until the dough comes together and holds together well.
Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 10 minutes, then roll out on a floured surface and cut to fit the tart tin. Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent puffing.
Pre-bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes at 180°C.
Remove the tart shell from the oven and let it cool, then top with pastry cream and fresh berries or any fruit you have.

Pastry Cream ingredients:

\r\n

1/4 cup corn starch

\r\n

2 tablespoons sugar

\r\n

1 cup milk

\r\n

2 eggs

\r\n

Zest of one lemon

\r\n

Vanilla

\r\n \r\n

Pastry Cream Preparation:

\r\n

Warm the milk in a pot. In a bowl, whisk eggs with vanilla and sugar until smooth, then whisk in the cornstarch until the mixture is uniform.

\r\n

When the milk heats, add a portion of the milk to the egg mixture while stirring to prevent curdling, then return everything to the pot and continue whisking until thickened; finally, add the lemon zest.
