Sfoof recipe — a certainly successful homemade recipe!
Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 cups farikha flour (fine semolina)
- 2 cups or 2¼ cups sugar
- 1 cup powdered milk
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup butter + oil
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 small teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon turmeric (or yellow coloring)
- 1 tablespoon orange blossom water

Method
- Combine the butter and oil with the two flours and rub them together with your hands until the flour absorbs all the fat.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Let the sfoof batter rest for about one hour.
- Put the batter into a pan greased with a little tahini and bake in the oven at medium heat for about 25 minutes on the middle rack.Timers: 25 min
- When the sfoof is cooked, brown the top.
- When you remove the sfoof from the oven, brush the top with a little cold syrup if you want extra shine.
- Allow the sfoof to cool before serving.
