Sesame Bread

A loaf with sesame, the aroma of dough filling the whole house. This sesame bread is very easy to make, delicious, and its aroma is irresistible.

Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • 1 kilogram white flour (all-purpose flour)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 cups warm liquid milk
  • 2 tablespoons instant yeast
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • Small cup olive oil
  • Sesame
  • Cheese (as desired and according to availability)

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Put the egg in a deep bowl, add the sugar and whisk well, then add the milk and yeast and continue mixing.
  2. Also add half the flour with the salt and continue mixing and kneading, using a little of the olive oil to help with kneading. Knead and add flour as the dough needs. Leave the dough to rise for about one hour.
  3. After the required time, shape the dough into equal-sized balls and leave them for about fifteen minutes. After the balls have risen well, take two balls and twist them together in a ring shape with an open center. Sprinkle them with sesame moistened with water—that is, put a little water in a plate with sesame and place the dough on it so the sesame sticks to the dough well.
  4. You can also, if you wish, fill each ball with any filling you like or have available such as cheese. Brush the dough with a mixture of egg and milk and also sprinkle sesame on top.
  5. Bake the bread balls in a preheated oven at 180°C until they are cooked and browned on both sides.
