Semolina with milk — an easy, refreshing dessert served cold and very tasty.
Ingredients
- 10 tablespoons powdered milk
- +
- 1 liter water
- or
- 1 liter liquid milk
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup fine semolina
- 1 teaspoon red food coloring
- Grated coconut for garnish
Method
- Combine the milk (powdered mixed with water, or the liquid milk), sugar and vanilla in a pot and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Just before it reaches a boil, gradually add the semolina while stirring until the mixture thickens.
- Divide the mixture into two portions. Add 1 teaspoon of red food coloring to one portion and mix well, then pour the semolina pudding into serving glasses.
- Garnish with grated coconut and let the dessert cool before refrigerating.
