Ingredients:

1 kg potatoes

\r\n

1 large onion

\r\n

sumac

\r\n

1 cup fine bulgur

\r\n

pine nuts or walnuts as desired

\r\n

salt

\r\n

black pepper

\r\n

basil or marjoram

\r\n \r\n \r\n

Preparation:

\r\n

Boil the potatoes and mash very well until smooth. Set aside.

\r\n

Prepare the onions. Add a little oil and fry the chopped onion until pale blonde.

\r\n

Mix the soft bulgur with salt, spices, marjoram or basil, and rub well, adding a little water until the bulgur puffs. Then add the fried onions and knead well.

The filling:

3 onions

\r\n

2 tablespoons sumac

\r\n

2 tablespoons pine nuts or walnuts

\r\n \r\n

How to prepare the filling:

Slice the onions into wedges and fry in oil until pale, then add the pine nuts or walnuts as desired. Also add the sumac and mix well.

Prepare a baking tray and brush with oil. Take a portion of the kibbeh mixture and spread it on the pan; add the filling, then top with another layer of kibbeh, cut into pieces, and bake in a preheated oven until well browned and cooked...
