Ingredients
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 teaspoon ground red chili pepper
- a pinch of ground cumin
- a pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
Method
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion in the oil until softened.
- Add the ground red chili, ground cumin, cumin seeds and salt; stir, then remove from heat.
- Spread the filling over prepared manakish dough.
- Place the manoushe on a baking tray and bake at 200°C (392°F) with top and bottom heat for 12 minutes, or until the dough is cooked through and has the desired color.Timers: 12 min
