- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee (Nescafe)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup chocolate pieces
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- peeled almonds for garnish, as desired

Method
- Sift the flour with the cocoa
- In a saucepan over heat put 1 cup milk, the instant coffee, the butter, the sugar, and the vanilla, and stir until the sugar dissolves
- Add the flour and cocoa mixture gradually and stir well for 15 minutes
- Remove the brownie cake mixture from the heat and pour it into a wide dish or Pyrex for serving; let it cool, then place it in the refrigerator
- Put the chocolate with the liquid cream in a saucepan over heat until the chocolate melts
- Pour the sauce over the brownie cake and spread it evenly
- Garnish the brownie cake with almonds and return it to the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving
