Loquat jam .. a tried-and-true homemade recipe you must try

Ingredients

  • 1 kilo loquats
  • 1/2 kilo sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • a few cloves
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon rose water

Method

  1. Wash the loquats well, peel them, and remove the seeds.
  2. Place them in a pot over the heat with the sugar, cloves, and water, and leave over medium heat for about half an hour.
  3. After the time is up — and you can leave them a little longer if needed, the important thing is that they cook well — add the lemon juice and stir.
  4. Let them boil for an additional 5 minutes only after adding the lemon juice.

  5. Finally, add the rose water, stir, and turn off the heat.
  6. Let them cool to room temperature before transferring the jam to sterilized, tightly sealed jars and placing them in the fridge.
