Mirinda cake — a reliable homemade cake. Try it!
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup warm milk
- 1 cup oil
- 3/4 cup Mirinda (orange soda)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda (or sodium bicarbonate)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 6 tablespoons cornstarch
Method
- Beat the eggs with an electric mixer on high speed. Then add the vanilla and gradually add the sugar, beating until it dissolves.
- Add the warm milk, oil and Mirinda, and beat to combine.
- Sift the dry ingredients and add them gradually, folding with a wooden spoon from the bottom up to ensure a smooth, uniform batter.
- Grease a cake pan with oil, dust with flour, and pour the Mirinda cake batter into it.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top and bottom heat) for about 40 minutes, monitoring until a skewer comes out clean or the cake is set.Timers: 40 min
