Lizie Cake

A wonderful recipe with ingredients available in every home! The Lizie Cake is a well-known dessert, but its decoration and presentation make it special and elevate this simple cake into an elegant dish by all standards.

Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • 4 packs plain (unfilled) biscuits, crushed
  • 1 cup liquid milk
  • 1 small can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 50 g butter
  • 120 g dark chocolate
  • orange zest
  • vanilla
  • Chocolate decoration surrounding the cake
  • Wait about two minutes, then wrap the chocolate circle around the cake and put it in the fridge with the parchment. When it has set, remove the parchment.
  • Be careful not to leave the parchment on for too long so the chocolate doesn't set too hard and become difficult to remove or break, and do not remove it while it is still hot and soft.

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Place all ingredients except the chopped biscuits in a pan over the heat and stir until fully combined, pour the mixture over the biscuits and press it into a cheesecake tin and place the tin in the fridge.
  2. Ganache: 120 milliliters heavy cream heated on the stove and add 120 g chopped dark chocolate and stir until the chocolate melts; pour the cream-and-chocolate mixture over the mold and refrigerate until serving.
  3. Cut a sheet of parchment to the required width and length and melt chocolate; put the melted chocolate into a piping bag or a small plastic bag and snip the tip, then begin making circles on the parchment you cut.
