Lentil soup with chard and lemon is one of the tastiest soups, especially if you like a sour flavor!

Ingredients:

1 dry onion

3 cloves garlic, crushed

1 potato

1 carrot

1/2 cup fresh cilantro (coriander), chopped

1/2 cup brown lentils

Fresh green chard leaves

Salt

Juice of 2 lemons

In a deep pot over heat, sauté the onion and garlic until they soften slightly.
Add the chopped cilantro and stir with the onion and garlic.
Pour about 3 cups of water over the onion, garlic and cilantro.
Add the potato and carrot, cut into small cubes or to the desired size.
After a few minutes add the lentils.
When the lentils start to boil, add the chopped chard leaves.
When the chard is cooked, add the lemon juice and turn off the heat. You can add or reduce the lemon juice to taste.
