Ingredients:

2 chickens

Chili chicken seasoning for boiling

1 cup flour

1 cup breadcrumbs (crushed crackers)

Salt to taste

Black pepper to taste

Chicken seasoning

Red hot pepper

Smoked paprika (sweet red pepper)

Garlic powder

5 eggs

1 teaspoon white vinegar

Pinch of dried thyme and oregano

1/4 cup milk

1 cup cornflakes (crushed)

Preparation:

Prepare two chickens and cut into 6 pieces. Wash well with vinegar, salt, lemon, and a spoon of flour. Place the chicken on the stove with the seasonings (onion, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, cloves, bay leaf, etc.). Cover with hot water and bring to a boil. When the chicken first boils, remove the white foam that forms on the surface and discard it. Keep on heat for about 15 to 30 minutes.

In a bowl combine 1 cup flour with 1 cup breadcrumbs (crushed crackers) plus a pinch of salt, pepper, chicken seasoning, hot pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

In another bowl beat the eggs with white vinegar and a pinch of thyme, oregano, and the milk.

Crush the cornflakes slightly by hand and set them aside in a separate bowl.

Take the chicken pieces and start by dipping each piece in the flour mixture, then in the egg mixture, then in the breadcrumbs (or crackers), then back in the egg, and finally in the cornflakes. Repeat until you use up all the pieces. Chill in the fridge for two hours or fry immediately in hot oil.

Note:

To get the authentic KFC flavor, slice 4 large onions into wedges and fry them in oil until golden. Remove the onions and reuse the same oil to fry the chicken.

Serve the Kentucky fried chicken with coleslaw or shredded cabbage salad.

Coleslaw:

Ingredients :

2 cups finely shredded white cabbage 2 cups grated carrot 1/4 onion finely chopped 1/2 cup milk or 2 tablespoons powdered milk 1 cup mayonnaise Pinch of salt

1 tablespoon sugar

Prepare Coleslaw:

Mix all ingredients and refrigerate until serving time.
