100 grams unsalted butter1/2 cup vegetable oil1 cup powdered milk1 teaspoon ground anise1 tablespoon kaak spice mix (dakka)2 tablespoons baking powder6 cups white flour1 tablespoon Nigella seeds (kalonji)2 tablespoons sesame seeds2 cups sugar

Note

Kaak spice is a blend of mahlab, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. All ingredients should be ground very finely and well combined.

Step 1

Mix all the ingredients and knead with lukewarm water; add the water gradually according to the dough's needs until you obtain a soft dough.
