1 cup milk1 cup vegetable oil1 cup water1/4 cup sugar2 tablespoons plain yogurt1/2 teaspoon baking powderPinch of saltAbout 6 cups flour (adjust according to flour type — you may need 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 cups)Cornstarch for rolling the doughNote: For this recipe we recommend using a standard measuring cup for baking.

Cream filling

2 cups milk4 tablespoons cornstarch1 tablespoon sugar1 tablespoon butter1 tablespoon rose water + 1 tablespoon orange blossom water1 tub ready-made clotted cream (qeemar) — optional

Walnut filling

1 cup chopped walnuts3 tablespoons sugar syrup (shira)A splash of rose water and orange blossom water
