How to Make Rice Pudding

Rice pudding is a favorite with both kids and adults. How do we make it easily and get the best flavor without any expensive add-ins? The answer is here—here is the recipe the proper way.

Ingredients

  • 2 liters liquid milk
  • Three-quarters cup Egyptian rice - short grain
  • Half a cup water
  • Three-quarters cup sugar
  • A pinch of rose water and orange blossom water

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Wash the Egyptian rice, then soak it in hot water for 15 minutes, then drain it.

  2. Put the milk and water in a pot over medium heat. Wait until the milk is hot, and before it boils, add the rice.
  3. Keep stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until the milk comes to a boil.
  4. Reduce the heat and leave it on the stove until the milk thickens and the rice is cooked, stirring every so often.
  5. At the final stage, add the sugar and stir well until it dissolves, then add the rose water and orange blossom water and turn off the heat.
  6. Pour the rice pudding into suitable cups and let them cool.
  7. Serve the rice pudding at room temperature, but it is best chilled from the refrigerator.
