Ingredients
- 2 cups powdered milk
- 5 and 1/2 cups water
- A small coffee cup of white vinegar
- 1 cup liquid milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon rose water
- 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
- 1 can ready-made qaymar or qishta
Method
- We prepare the qishta in two stages. In the first stage, we put the powdered milk with the water and mix well until dissolved over low heat. When the milk heats up, we add the white vinegar.
- Shortly after adding the vinegar, we will start to see the milk curdle and turn into small lumps called "qareesha."
- We set the qareesha aside until it cools completely.
- Meanwhile, over low heat, place the cup of liquid milk with the sugar, flour, and cornstarch. Mix the ingredients well so they do not clump. When the mixture thickens, add the rose water and orange blossom water.
- Let the mixture cool as well.
- In the final stage, mix both the first and second mixtures together after they have cooled completely, then add a can of ready-made canned qishta or qaymar.
