  • 2 tablespoons custard powder
  • 2 cups liquid milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar

Method

  1. In a dry bowl, whisk the custard powder with the liquid milk, then add the sugar and keep whisking until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Stir the mixture well until all the ingredients dissolve while cold, then place it over low heat until you get a smooth cream.
  3. Set the custard aside to cool.
  4. Meanwhile, cut the puff pastry into squares, brush them with butter, and prick the center with a fork.
  5. Place a small amount of custard in the center of each puff pastry piece and put them in the oven on parchment paper, or grease a baking tray with a little oil and a sprinkle of flour if you do not have parchment paper.
  6. Bake the custard puff pastry in a hot oven at 180 degrees in the middle rack until it puffs up and the bottom is golden, about 15 minutes, then brown the top.

  7. Sprinkle powdered sugar over the custard puff pastry pieces.
