Homemade donuts with a 100% successful recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Decoration:
  • 4 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk powder
  • 1/4 cup water
  • How to prepare the icing:
  • Whisk the ingredients together until you get a mixture with the thickness of drinkable yogurt
  • You can add a drop of any food coloring to tint the icing

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients except the milk
  2. Add the milk gradually and knead... some types of flour need a little more or less milk
  3. Knead until the dough comes together; it should be slightly soft
  4. Let the donut dough rest for half an hour
  5. After the dough has risen, roll it out like a loaf and cut it into circles about 1 cm thick
  6. Let them rest again for 10 minutes
    Timers: 10 min
  7. Heat plenty of oil and fry them over low heat until the dough is cooked through
  8. Decorate the donuts as desired and serve them as soon as they cool to room temperature
