Ingredients

  • 1½ cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • a pinch of vanilla
  • half a cup warm milk
  • 75 g soft butter
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 cups whipped cream for decoration

Method

  1. Mix the ingredients well and prepare the baba au rhum molds greased with a little butter so they don't stick...
  2. Fill the molds with the dough to less than half their height because it will rise and double in size.
  3. Let the dough rest in the molds for one hour to rise, then put them into a preheated oven at 180°C... When the dough is baked in the molds, turn them out, poke them with a toothpick and place them in the syrup so they absorb it well, then let them cool...
  4. For serving, slice each baba au rhum in half and fill it with whipped cream and a piece of pineapple or any fruit you have available.
