- Butter or ghee
- Ground almonds
- Qatar or sugar syrup

Method
- Lay 6 sheets of dough on top of one another in a baking tray and brush with softened butter or ghee between each layer...
- Spread the filling of ground almonds mixed with syrup and orange blossom water... then lay 6 more sheets of baklava dough on top and brush with butter or ghee between the layers.
- Cut the almond baklava into squares before placing it in the oven. Bake for about half an hour at 180 degrees Celsius.
- Pour the cold syrup over the almond baklava while it is hot... serve once it has cooled.
