Meghli is a delicious dessert, especially in winter, because it contains lots of spices and is served with nuts. It may seem tricky to prepare, but not if the spice mix is ready and we add our own touches.
Ingredients
- 1 packet of fine rice flour (1 1/2 cups), ready with its spices
- 10 1/2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon caraway
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup sugar
- For the topping:
- Shredded coconut
- Nuts, as desired
Method
- Mix all the ingredients well while cold.
- Place them in a pot over high heat.
- After it comes to a boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer for half an hour, stirring occasionally.
- Pour the meghli into serving cups.
- Once it has cooled to room temperature, decorate the cups with shredded coconut and nuts that were previously soaked in water and dried well.
- Serve the meghli immediately or chilled.
