Chocolate cake with a coffee flavor... a homemade recipe that's simply irresistible! And the best part is that it contains no eggs! This recipe is similar to the ready-made "Betty Crocker" cake mix... super easy and will definitely work for you.

Ingredients

  • Dry ingredients:
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Wet ingredients:
  • 2 cups lukewarm coffee (2 cups lukewarm water dissolved with 2 tablespoons Nescafe)
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon liquid vanilla
  • 2/3 cup oil

Method

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl.
  2. In another bowl... mix the wet ingredients well.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well.
  4. Line the bottom of the pan or cake tin with parchment paper, and grease the sides with butter as well.
  5. Pour the batter into the pan, then place it in a preheated oven at 175°C for 35 minutes, or according to your oven.

  6. Serve the homemade cake at room temperature.
