Healthy oat biscuits in a lovely, light recipe! You can make a batch of these biscuits and serve them to your guests, or pack them in your children's school lunchbox instead of sweets and candy.
Ingredients
- 1 cup and a quarter (175 g) whole wheat flour
- 5 tablespoons (75 g) vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup (50 g) oat flour
- 1/4 cup (50 g) brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup skim milk (as needed for the flour)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon ground fennel (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground anise (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 cup dried fruit, chopped into small pieces

Method
- In a bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, oat flour, salt, sugar, and all the spices, then mix well with a hand whisk.
- Add the sesame seeds, dried fruit, and then the oil, and mix the oat biscuit mixture well.
- Add the milk gradually until a soft, pliable dough forms.
- On a work surface, roll out the dough so it is fairly thin.
- Using a round cutter, cut out the cookie dough and place it on a tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the oat biscuit rounds in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- It is best not to bake the oat biscuits for more than 10 minutes so they do not become hard after cooling.Timers: 10 min
