Healthy date-and-oat balls — a light, tasty, healthy snack that date lovers will really enjoy.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 300 g pitted, ground dates
- Mixed nuts to taste (walnuts, almonds, raisins, hazelnuts, cashews)
- Desiccated coconut, crushed pistachio, or sesame for coating the balls — optional
- Tahini for serving — optional

Method
- Put the dates and oats in a bowl and begin mixing/pressing them together.
- Crumble and press the mixture together several times until well combined.
- Break the walnuts by hand and add them to the dates and oats, then add raisins and almonds — about a small handful of each nut, or to taste.
- Knead well until the ingredients are uniform, then shape the date-and-oat mixture into rounds or balls.
- Optionally roll the balls in desiccated coconut, sesame, or crushed pistachio, or serve them with tahini.
