- 5 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup milk
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- Cake preparation:
- Toffee sauce:
- In a nonstick pan place 1½ cups sugar with 1 teaspoon butter and stir until they turn blond or light brown.

- Beat the eggs with sugar and oil until well combined.
- Fold in the sifted flour with the baking powder and vanilla.
- Continue beating and add the milk, baking soda, and vinegar. Dissolve the soda and vinegar together beforehand so they fizz slightly before adding to the batter
- Grease the pan with flour and a light dusting of oil or sesame, pour the batter into the pan, place in the oven on the middle rack and bake for about an hour at 180°C...
- Pour the toffee over the cake when baked and decorate as desired
- Beat the eggs with the sugar and oil well.
