Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups semolina
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon anise
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons powdered milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup water
- After the rest is complete:
Method
- Whisk all dry ingredients first, then add the oil and water.
- Mix well until a cohesive dough forms.
- Let the dough rest for about an hour
- Divide the dough into small balls
- Roll them over a sieve surface
- Fry the macarons in hot, deep oil
- Dip the fried macarons in syrup
- The fried macarons are served cold... For a healthier option, bake the macarons in the oven instead of frying in abundant oil.
