Ingredients :

2 cups medium semolina

1 cup sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 cup plain yogurt

2 tablespoons ghee (or clarified butter)

Pistachios for garnish, or as desired

Syrup:

2 cups sugar

1 cup water

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Preparation:

Mix the sugar, semolina, and baking powder together, then add the ghee and yogurt and mix well.
Grease a baking pan with ghee, pour in the namoura batter, and smooth the surface.
Let the batter rest for two hours, then garnish with the pistachios.
Place the pan in the oven and bake on the middle rack until the edges brown and the cake is cooked through.
Let the namoura cool well at room temperature before pouring the hot syrup over it.
Serve the namoura after it has cooled again.

Syrup method:

Combine the water, sugar, and lemon juice and stir.
Bring to a boil and simmer until the syrup thickens, about 10 minutes or slightly less.
Pour the hot syrup over the namoura.
